Learn about the people behind our teams:

We recognize that our people are our most important asset, and we are focused on creating a culture and environment that supports and provides a path to growth for all employees. With three generations of active firm leadership in place, each bringing a different perspective to management and business decisions, our people work across departments with a common goal of creating long-term value for our client partners and ourselves.

We regularly engage with our employees through cross-departmental leadership groups, inter-departmental mentor and training sessions, firmwide virtual forums and semi-annual employee sentiment surveys. The common belief and passion for how we invest and for helping others remains the most important common thread that brings us together as a global team. Southeastern is committed to fostering and promoting a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). We believe that a diverse and inclusive culture is key to achieving our mission. Incorporating diverse perspectives and insights help us make better, more informed investment decisions and achieve better outcomes for our clients, business and community.

    Our Client Relations Team

We are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our existing and prospective clients across the globe.

We seek to partner with our clients by aligning our interests through co-investment and promoting an open dialogue. Our client relations team serve as the day-to-day liaison between our clients and our research team, and they are deeply knowledgeable and well-versed in the history and investment approach of the firm, as well as current and past portfolio investments. We aim to be transparent in our communication and are available as needed to support our clients’ ongoing needs.

      Our Corporate Officers

Our corporate officers and institutional structure support our unique investment approach and enable a constant focus on promoting the best interests of our client partners.

Our experienced corporate officers ensure that the internal operations of Southeastern effectively support our clients and our investment research and that regulatory and compliance matters are handled with the highest degree of integrity.

        Our ESG Committee

The ESG Committee oversees the incorporation of ESG matters into our investment process, client engagement and day-to-day business operations.

The ESG Committee is chaired by our Head of Client Relations and Communications and includes our Manager of ESG Integration and Reporting, as well as senior representation from our Research, Client Relations, Legal and Finance/Human Resources teams. The ESG Committee is involved in ongoing oversight of the incorporation of ESG matters into our investment process and client reporting, as well as our day-to-day business operations. The committee also works with our Operations/Human Resources teams to help review and integrate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) reporting, policies and training. The committee meets at least quarterly, with much more frequent direct communication informally as needed. The Committee Chair reports directly to our CEO and Head of Research on progress on a weekly basis.

          Our Executive Committee

The Executive Committee oversees our key management functions and perpetuates our partnership-driven culture.

The Executive Committee represents three actively engaged generations of firm leadership with global perspectives. In his role as CEO, Ross Glotzbach is supported by the Executive Committee and by our team of proven and seasoned senior department heads who oversee legal, compliance, risk management and client relations and communications. The Executive Committee works with these department heads to coordinate the firm’s management functions, to set the strategy and goals for the firm and to ensure we always stick to the guiding principles that define our unique culture.

            Our Information Technology Team

Our Information Technology (IT) team has built a robust and flexible computing environment to enable a constant focus on investing and the best interests for our client partners.

Our IT team is committed to delivering the highest levels of availability and data security. All aspects of technology are a critical part of our ability to execute on our investing, trading and operational strategies. Our critical systems environment is a hybrid of cloud-based and on-premise solutions. Cybersecurity continues to be one of our largest areas of focus and is constantly evaluated and monitored by our team. Our cybersecurity strategy consists of a multifaceted approach that emphasizes security best practices to protect the firm’s data and computing environment.

We have a technically diverse IT group, with the following two in leadership roles that are focused on defining and implementing our cybersecurity strategy.

            Our Research Team

Our analysts are generalists, searching for the best bottom-up opportunities around the globe.

We operate as a single, integrated, worldwide research team with all analysts reviewing and challenging one another’s work.

We bring to bear all the team’s collective investing experience, industry knowledge and network of local contacts across the globe before committing our clients’ and our own capital. The full global team is involved throughout the investment process. Portfolio managers for each strategy make the final investment decisions.

              Our Trading Team

Our robust and experienced trading team is focused on best execution on behalf of our clients.

An intent focus on best execution informs all our decisions, including broker selection, and drives all our trades. As global markets have evolved to smaller average-trade sizes, higher volumes, venue fragmentation and a more rapid trading dynamic over the past several years, our trading department has focused on maintaining a world-class competency in market microstructure, routing protocols and electronic algorithmic trading. Southeastern is a recognized thought leader on the topic of market structure, and our traders are members of the IEX Trading Advisory Committee, ICI Equity Markets Advisory Committee and Buyside Equity Traders Roundtable.
