Job Summary

  1. Assisting in the research and investment process: putting together background and supporting materials (financials, news runs, spreadsheets, etc.) for companies under investigation. Taking extensive notes in meetings and writing those up for distribution to investment team.
  2. Comparison (M&A) transactions and helping maintain the comps database.
  3. Creation and maintenance of valuation spreadsheets progressing to a more active role in the appraisal process. Performing deep dives on the competitors, suppliers and customers surrounding relevant companies.
  4. Running regular equity screens and maintaining monitoring lists.
  5. Ability to use PowerPoint and organize research into slide decks for presentation to principal decision makers.
  6. Additional complexity, responsibility and requirements as experience allows.
  7. The analyst will not be responsible for idea generation or specific stock recommendations initially.

Education: University degree, preferably with concentration in Finance, Accounting or related areas. Other areas of study will be considered if applicant has an advanced degree in a financial field or relevant training and work experience to develop needed skills

Knowledge Requirements: Familiarity and ability to manage job responsibilities using Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Preferably experience and familiarity with research tools, such as Bloomberg and Factset

Language proficiency in Korean and Japanese preferable
This role will require worldwide travel at a short notice
Candidate will need a strong background in finance and accounting to be successful

This is a full-time position based in Singapore. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and structured such that candidates should have a long-term time horizon for developing and growing in this role. Additionally, candidates should exhibit the ability to collaborate with others and demonstrate a desire to improve the overall firm. This is not a proprietary trading position.
